I chanced upon RAQ Victory Badminton Academy via Google search for a 1:1 private coaching while on holiday in KL. Their responses were fast, answering all my queries via WhatsApp and I quickly decided that they are the one for me.

I am 60 year old social badminton player from SG, who was looking to up my weekly game with a bunch of mostly 2 decades younger players that included some Indonesian players.

I took a two hour session and was personally coached by Irfan, who was a State Selangor champion. Head Coach Jason was also in attendance throughout to give me an all rounded coaching including; grips, positioning, trick shots, net play and correcting some of my error and bad habits. It was money and time well spent. I was also invited to join in additional training the following day, getting a chance (and use some of my new found skills)to play doubles with some elite teenagers trainees, who's skills are much more advanced.

Jason, Irfan (and also Meng Feng) were all very patient with me and they were concern and wanting me to get the best of my time with them, to learn as much as possible during the short period of time. They are all very passionate in their trade.

Rest assured, I will definitely look forward for more training sessions when I'm in KL again, hopefully in the not so long future.

What an amazing experience! Competing in Germany 🇩🇪 and Spain 🇪🇸 gave me the chance to face top players from all over the world and really test myself. Every match pushed me to improve, and I’ve learned so much—not just in skills, but in focus, resilience, and confidence. 🏸

I’m Kiefer, part of the Raq Victory Elite Team. I’ve been training here for about 5 months and it has been a really great experience.

Coach Jason has a lot of international tournament experience, and the training here is very high quality. There are also many strong players, which creates a very competitive and motivating environment.

I’m a student from RAQ Victory badminton academy. At 2022 i met coach Jason and he bring me to his academy.Since i go there i dont even know how to serve a shuttle properly but until now coach Jason always help me train me and take care of me.
For others just think that maybe he is just a normal badminton coach but for me he is a full time coach and maybe a part time dad.
And coach Jason will also always bring us to  tournament.

Firstly, this badminton academy surely has its pricing advantage, one of the major reasons is because the training venues are not located on private owned badminton courts but on government owned locations, which due to lower cost and having price advantages compared to other badminton academy. Private classes are also lower compared to other famous and popular badminton academies, most of you do not know but whenever you register on those academies you are just paying for the big names of those academies but you won’t be trained by them unless you are willing to pay a really hefty price. The location I am not giving a full 5 it’s because , as mentioned above they are using government properties, one of the disadvantages is that sometimes the location for training might not be fixed due to the availability of the government premises. However, do not worry as coach Jason had already promised to solve this issue very soon as their new fixed badminton court will be available within this year.

Quality 5/5
This academy may not be very big and famous like other big brand badminton academies, but it is one of the advantages, this is because the coaches are able to focus on quality more than quantity, a lot of times when you visit those bigger name academies, you will observe that especially in group classes, the training quality is just very very basic or effortless. But in RAQ Victory badminton academy, the coaches will teach and train every student with patience and discipline to make sure every student learns the fundamentals and technicals of badminton.

Experience 5/5
The experience this academy can give you is really truly out of the world, of the reasons are stated above in the quality standards. Coach Jason doesn’t just coaches elite teams or private classes, he also helps students in group classes which comparing to other badminton academies you would rarely see the head coach socialise with students from group classes because of the size of their academy is too large. Besides, Coach Jason also organises badminton social activities such as training camps in overseas, which the academy sponsors part of the expenses for the training camp. If you are also interested in fully commuting to a badminton career, he also provides the necessary information and resources to help you.

Summary:
Coach Jason may not be like other academies with big badminton player names, but he is also an experienced athlete and coach, he is still currently competing in international tournaments as well to explore more international opportunities for himself and for the academy.
